New Product Idea: The Tennis Tosser

I was playing Tennis with my wife the other day and in doing so she came up with a great new product idea. She's taking lessons right now and getting really good. But as we all know the hardest part to learn is the serve. And the hardest part about the serve is the toss. So she thought, "why not create a little device to sit on the line that could shoot the ball into the air?". This would let anyone practice a serve without having to work on their toss at the same time.

I thought this was a great idea. It could function like that putting game where the piston shoots the golf ball back to you. You'd just have to add a pedal to step on to trigger the tennis ball to pop up.

And this post documents that we came up with the idea - so don't go try to steal this one. But seriously, does this exist already? I'm surprised no one has ever thought of this before.
